Clipd is a marketplace where creators fund clipping campaigns and clippers earn for verified views. To run that marketplace we store the minimum information needed to operate accounts, campaigns, submissions, and payouts.
Account data. Email address, display name, username, avatar, and profile details you choose to add. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
Connected platform accounts. When you verify a social account (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube), we store the platform username/handle and verification status. When verification uses a platform login (for example, Login with Instagram), we receive your username from the platform, confirm it, and discard the access token — we do not retain ongoing access to your social account, and we never see your password.
Campaign and submission data. Campaigns you create or join, clip URLs you submit, and public engagement metrics (such as view counts) for those clips.
Payment coordination data. Payouts and campaign funding are handled off-platform via PayPal invoices. We store payout amounts and status, and the PayPal email you provide for receiving payments. Card and bank details are handled by PayPal, never by Clipd.
Referral data. If you arrive through a referral or campaign link, we use a small cookie to credit the referrer when you sign up.
To operate the product: verifying account ownership, tracking clip performance against campaign budgets, calculating and paying earnings, crediting referrals, providing support, and keeping the marketplace safe (fraud and abuse prevention). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Public marketplace content is public: your username, avatar, campaign participation, leaderboard placement, and submitted clips may be visible to other users. Behind the scenes we use service providers to run Clipd — Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting), Google Cloud (clip metrics), and PayPal (payments) — which process data only to provide those services. We may disclose information if required by law.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us; we will delete it except where we need to retain records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. To disconnect a verified social account, you can also remove Clipd's access in that platform's settings (for Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites).
We use cookies for signing you in (Supabase session) and for referral/campaign-join attribution. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Clipd is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
